Connect Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI tools to your Further data via MCP. Once connected, you can use this to check fund and vehicle performance, review capital calls and distributions, look up portfolio company holdings and returns, reconcile bank accounts, pull general ledger and trial balance data, and answer other questions based on your live Further data.

We currently only support authentication through browser OAuth. For other forms of authentication, please get in touch with your Further contact.

Set-up guide

Pre-requisites

• A Further account with access to at least one firm and vehicle
• An AI tool that supports MCP, such as Claude and ChatGPT

How to connect

Further is listed in the Claude and ChatGPT built-in connector directories. In each case, follow the step-by-step guides below to add the MCP to your account.

Claude

The instructions differ depending on whether you are using a Team or Enterprise plan, or an individual account (Free, Pro or Max).

Team and Enterprise

1. First, an organisation owner/admin opens Organization settings → Connectors, finds Further in the directory and enables it for the organisation
2. Each user then opens Settings → Connectors, finds Further, selects Connect and completes the Further browser sign-in
3. If you are a Team member without permission to enable connectors, select Request on Further in the directory instead. Your admin will see the request in Organization settings → Connectors and can enable it from there.

For low friction use once set up, on the Further connector page set Tool permissions to Always allow. This works better than selecting Always allow in a conversation.
